3D Modeling
A single-threaded task within 3ds Max, 3D modeling is the process of building up meshes, extruding polygons, and manipulating vertices. If you primarily use 3ds Max for modeling, then don’t waste money on a dual CPU workstation with dozens of CPU cores. Animation

The purpose of a 3ds Max workstation is to create and maintain productivity, which comes to a halt when you tie up your system with rendering final frame animation sequences.
